The musings of a Personal Trainer/Foodie, en route to adding Yoga Teacher to the mix!

My thoughts on acceptance:
You cannot change what you have done, but you can change what you will do.
To me, this means that I will not beat myself up because I missed my yoga practice, or because I lost my temper, or because I cheated on my diet. All I will do is acknowledge what I did, forgive myself, and let it go on the intention and commitment to do better from now forward.

You are what you are, and what you are is beautiful.
I’m 5 foot 3, and I have brown eyes... These are just two of the many things about me that will never change, and have always been the same. Everyone has things about themselves that are “just the way they are”. The sooner you start to work with the way you are, instead of against the way you are, the faster you will become the best you there could be. Don’t forget, the world only has one YOU!

My thoughts on spirit:
Your spirit needs a good work-out to be fit, just like your body.
To keep your spirit fit, every day you need to do a whole lot of sets of the following:
  • Laughing
  • Smiling
  • Thanking and Appreciating
  • Loving
  • Learning
  • Feeling
  •  Sympathizing and Empathizing
  • Understanding
  •  Sharing
And then, after all that, you also must take time:
  • Resting
  • Reflecting
  • Dreaming
My thoughts on growing and evolving:
Set a goal; work at your goal daily, and step by step come to reach that goal...
Then set a new goal and repeat!
No matter what you accomplish, or how far you go; until you take your last breath there is always room to do and be more. So take a moment to plan what you want to accomplish today, in the next month, and in the next year. Then honor yourself by giving yourself the time and love to be able to attack those goals with fervor... Hopefully achieving all that you wish to! Should you find a goal that cannot be met, reconcile it with acceptance. Not every path goes on forever, sometimes turning around and going back is an achievement unto itself.

Be who you are, follow your bliss, and love all that you can.

Namaste!
